Slow and Steady
Wow, thank you for all the birthday wishes, you gals are so so sweet!
I had a wonderful day!
How is everyone going so far?
I find January to be such a hard month!
After all the festivities and rushing around shopping, baking, decorating and making sure everything is wonderful for Christmas and New Years eve, it sure is difficult getting back to a normal routine.
No one in my office feels like working this week, everyone is very quiet at their desks haha! For me its usually March by the time I start to get back into the swing of things!
This little embroidery piece was a slow and steady project but I finally finished last night!
It was meant to be a birthday gift for my niece Styliana whose birthday was 3 weeks ago! Oops! Lucky I got her some cute summer clothes and the gorgeous 'Angelina Ballerina' pop- up book otherwise she'd think her auntie, favourite I might add....well OK, her only auntie, forgot about her!
Im really happy how it turned out - not sure weather to frame it or make it into a little pillow for her room. I might let her decide....
Such an adorable picture! And a belated happy birthday! Glad it was a happy day.
ReplyDeleteSo cute that little embroidery. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI understand what you mean by January being quiet...that exactly why I like it?
have a good day :)
Beautiful stitching. I think it would make a great pillow, but better to let your neice decide.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a happy birthday.
Happy belated birthday Anastasia! Will catch up with you later. Having fun with my Australian mate!

wow , its gorgeous! A pillow would be cute , so would a frame! What about a bag she can take everywhere and show off and tell everyone her favorite auntie made it!
ReplyDeleteLovely piece! i vote for framing.
ReplyDeleteEither way it is something so special--she'll always treasure it! xo-Melfie
ReplyDeletethat turned out wonderfully! I'm having a very hard time getting back into the swing of things. I took down the Christmas decorations yesterday and had to console myself the entire time. sadness!
ReplyDeleteThat embroidery is stunning. Did you have a pattern or did you use an old illustration (or maybe one of your own)
