This is my favourite Childhood book

Books books can I choose just one favourite childhood book??

*anything by Beatrix Potter - i loved Peter Rabbit and all his friends, always dressed so well too!

*anything by Beverly Cleary, Ramona and her adventures in Klickitat Street were so fun...i used to borrow these from my school library and bought all the old editions off Ebay...i love them!

*'My Naughty Little sister' series - another favourite...i still have a couple of these too!

*'Lisa and Lottie' by Erich Kastner

*and of course Milly Molly Mandy

i had my little stall at the school fete yesterday - im so happy it went well and I sold quite a bit too! very exciting!
i also got some great feedback and comments about my papergoods!! thats always nice.....
i hope to get my computer back tommorow felt like something was missing from my life haha!

  1. Oh my goodness - I LOVED Ramona the Pest, anything Beverley Cleary is fantastic - I always borrowed these from the library!! I was just thinking of them yesterday too!

    Love your books - I am going to have to check a couple out, they look great!

  2. Great choices - I loved Milly Molly Mandy too. My copy had a map inside the front cover that I used to love to study.

  3. Ah, I'd forgotten about Ramona! I remember the one where she had her fringe ("bangs") cut in a heart shape. Well done on the stall!

  4. Hoppo Bumpo - haha yes! i studied the village map too and would draw more maps...loved the village lifestyle!

    Bellgirl - Yes! Ramona was too funny...

    I watched 'Miss Potter' the movie the other day, it's wonderfully enchanting :) Congrats on your sales at the school fete.

    Ahhh such sweetness can be found in a child's book. I love love loved Milly Molly Mandy... couldn't tear me away from the ratty pages clutched in my hands. Beatrix Potter was an all time hit too... loved the movie as well. Just dreamy.

    beatrix potter, of course! i bought the whole collection for fiona.
    i am so glad the fete went well and you had good feedback, but it doesn't surprise me.
    hope the computer comes back soon, it is like something is missing when we don't have them {attachment? maybe a little...}

    Hi Anastasia! Just found your blog thru the lovely Villa Anna blog. I am also a big fan of Miss Potter and I noticed has been updated and is just as enchanting as her books. Enjoy ^_^
