We had such a great weekend in Orange and scored big time at the Cherry Orchard - what fun!
what fun!
the kids loved it,
we had a ball too...picking fruit directly off the tree is so satisfying, picking the plump red beauties and popping in your mouth
even better,
but we arrived at the orchard just after a delicious breakfast so we were pretty full already.
we picked just over 10kg ...plenty to go around to the rest of the family and Im going to give Cherry pie a go this weekend! yummy!
I love weekend getaways, we try to get out of the city as much as we can, even if its just a long Sunday drive ...it can be tiring but worth it!
Cherries fresh off the tree, yummy! Sounds like a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! We used to pick cherries when I was a kid!

Your cherries look very good and plump. Now, I can't wait for our cherry season to start.
ReplyDeleteWow are those spider webs on the trees?
ReplyDeletemybunnygoboom - no they're netting to protect from birds, snakes (eeek!) etc..
