Pretty Pumpkin
You can see the start of the Halloween inspirations around the blogs and on Pinterest lately.
We don't celebrate Halloween in our house and even though its becoming more popular in Australia with Halloween themed party decorations and scary costumes on offer, our neighborhood doesn't really get into it.
We might have one or two kids come ' trick or treat ' at our door on Halloween night - last year a few didnt even bother dressing up ha-ha
so I still make sure I have some sweets to hand out but nothing that requires lots of planning ahead...
I did however spot this
Funky Ombre Pumpkin tutorial over at Funkytime blog
and thought 'how gorgeous'...looks easy enough to give it a go and a perfect Halloween decor for our warmer Aussie weather...
who said Halloween needs to be scary time?

Until we lived in Canada, we never "celebrated" Halloween with trick or treats either. So the girls did not miss out, we allowed a little of it - but then, and even now, I can't help feel it almost encouraging kids to beg (or threaten). Around where I now live, it's definitely not encouraged, but then we're all a bunch of wrinklies, who are past such antics!
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting to hear which countries celebrate Halloween and which don't. It's one of my favorite holidays, so I'm having a hard time imagining fall without it.
ReplyDeleteHalloween is usually pretty quite in our street too, we usually see 1 or 2 kids that's about it.
ReplyDeleteStill there are lots of people who enjoy it. I do like the colourful pumpkin, I've never seen anything like it.
This pumpkin is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. I really love the combination of pink and orange:it looks like a sunset!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog via BYW, it's really cool!!! I am a follower now. Keep up the good work! Greetings.
