Avocado (ice) Cream

I've always wanted to try homemade ice-cream but most recipes ask that you churn your mixture in an ice-cream maker which I don't have,  so when I spotted this easy Avocado ice-cream recipe in the latest Coles magazine that just needed a blender and a freezer I knew I had to give it a go.
I made half the batch to test it out - I knew that the kids wouldn't eat it, they don't like Avocado at all...
Its not a healthy treat but its better than store bought ice-cream full of additives and fake flavourings.  Plus who doesnt love Avocado? Yum!
Avocado Ice-cream (makes about 500ml)
1 large ripe avocado
200g condensed milk
135ml coconut milk
Blend well in a processor and then pour into an airtight container - cover tightly and freeze for 3hrs until semi-frozen.
Eat and Enjoy!

Before...and after.
Yum!! its really creamy and satisfying!

  1. I'm so glad that you tried this Anastasia - I saw it too! I've made avocado and chocolate frozen smoothies before but I think I liked them as the chocolate masked the avocado flavour.... I'll have to give it a go! Steph x

  2. That looks yummy and really simple to make! Think I might have to try - thanks for sharing :)

  3. Hmm. Not sure about the idea of avocado icecream, but yours looks great and the texture spot on! Glad you enjoyed it.

  4. My girls are crazy about avocado and go into a panic if I say we've run out! I'll have to ask them if they'd like to try this ice cream. Look forward to seeing you Friday. x

Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment!! i really appreciate it!
