Illustration Friday - Under the Sea
My inspiration this week came from the victorian story the Water Babies.
I love the Water Babies illustrations
Jessie Wilcox Smith painted - they are just wonderful!
This is my water baby having fun with the cute creatures of the sea.
Awww, so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHOW FUN!!
ReplyDeletehow adorable!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the link.
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun drawing! It takes me back to when I was little and either my Mom or Dad would read to me. A lot of children's books are illustrated in this simple care-free style.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
what a cutie that little cherub! would make a nice mural in a nursery.
ReplyDeleteThe little fish she's holding doesn't look too impressed and the clam shell has closed down. I think this little cherub should pay close attention to Mrs Do As You Would Be done By :) Well done.
ReplyDeleteI love this - It's so simple and cute! I love the baby's expression!
ReplyDeleteHi Ace,

ReplyDeleteI never read it, but your picture is so cute. I love the way she's holding the kelp- it looks like knives or scissors. So triumphant!
