This is....what scares me!
Fires!
ive been known to double or triple check that everything is switched off before I leave the house or at night when we close up for sleep and even then I convince myself Ive left the oven on or something silly like that ...and go and re-check....i always sleep with my keys nearby....if im out walking and see a ciggarette butt on the ground I have to step on it - just in case ....
We also have a fire escape plan on paper and in my head - i think its good for every home to have one...

ReplyDeleteI have a thing about the iron and am always double checking that it's turned off and unplugged!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to your fear!I too dubble check everything allll the time!It has become a habit, and perhaps even an obession!xoxo
ReplyDeleteYep-I'm with you! I double check everything and often have to reassure myself when I am on the way to work that yes I definitely DID turn the iron off!!
ReplyDeleteme too! i used to be scared every time i left my house that i would come home to it burned down. is that strange?
ReplyDeletei love that book. it's about ny! yay!!!
Yes, it would be a terrible thing to happen... so so devastating and ruthless in it's destruction. Love the book cover.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand that fear and have made an escape plan with the kids in case the worst happens. I think I made it sound way too exciting though, all that throwing duvets out of windows and wotnot...In total agreement about the book and illustration, lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe books look fantastic, what a fabulous artist. I double-check the locks :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you...everything's unplugged and I am always double checking....I cringe at our over-cluttered basement because I know it's a fire hazard...that's what I get for marrying a pack-rat !!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one..... I just wander out of the house without and second's thought, but then on my way home, for some reason I expect to find the house on fire when I get back.....WEIRD.
ReplyDeleteSeems lots of us have the same irrational fears!
