so i finally got to see the movie last week, its only been like close to 2 years that everyone was going on and on about it....
what can I say, it was pure eye candy!! im going to have to watch it again just to absorb all that beauty!
my favourite scene was the above - what a backdrop!! that wallpaper is stunning! can you imagine the task ahead for the props team working for Ms Coppola....amazing visual artists! they turned the old into new!
I made a flickr mosaic since I was so inspired by the colours and textures....

I wanted to watch the movie to get inspired for a collage book swap but I ended up finishing my 'Sweet Marie' collage before I even saw the film - i dont think i would have added polka dots...not a very french revolution look...
the collage is tiny, 2.75inches x 3 inches - I was worried that once I made the 28 copies for the swap, I would lose her clear blue eyes but they turned out okay....
Amnastasia~ I love collages like that. Ive seen a few lovelyy ones on photobucket. This is so lovely I like the colors, very dainty.
ReplyDelete"Anastasia" wow I get to typing to fast.I have to correct myself too cause I think people may think I really cant spell. LOL
ReplyDeleteDon't you LOVE it?! I already posted this on your Flickr, but seriously, I could watch it non stop! It is all about the colors for me.

Oh my oh my! I love those collages.
ReplyDeleteThe movie has soo much eye candy you have to watch it again. Which is why I bought it =)
And your flickr mosaic is full of beautiful inspiration. Yummy colours!
oh how beautiful! And I loved the movie too.
ReplyDeleteaahhh. I've been missing a bunch of posts because you aren't coming up on my bloglines. I'm going to have to figure out why and get it fixed.
ReplyDeleteYes, this movie was very decadent and divine :)
Off to go catch up :)
It is one of my favourite new movies. I couldn't wait to visit Versailles last year after I saw it. I remember specifically looking for the "floral room" you described and I found it but it was closed off to the public. I did manage to take a few photo's from the roped doorway. It truly is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
p.s Your mosaic is GORGEOUS!
Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten all about this film! I love it, it's just so beautiful! Your collage is gorgeous too!!
ReplyDeleteLove the flickr mosaic, but especially love your sweet little marie collage...simply adorable!

I love your photo montage. The colours are so Paris. It reminds me of this patisserie in Paris that had piles of coloured macaroons in the window.
ReplyDeleteALL your photos are eye candy. With whom/where do you swap?
ReplyDeleteI _still_ haven't seen the movie- must do it before the book comes out! I love your page, can't wait to see it in the flesh!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about that movie. The colours are a real stand out in my recollection of it. And the scene of the cupcakes, and the chuck taylor gym boots! It was great!
ReplyDeleteYour collages are SO beautiful! Those swap partners will be thrilled!
OMG! Look what I just found! Have you seen this!??
