a fun theme by Sharon this week...i love tarts, pies and pastries...anything with custards, cream and almonds...yummo!! sometimes cakes look much prettier than they taste...but I eat them anyway!
today was extremely hot so we spent most of the day at the beach, sitting under fragrant fir trees and enjoying the cool breeze but my heart goes out to the families that lost homes & loved ones in the devastating bushfires raging in Victoria...a big applaud to all the volunteer firefighters risking their lives to save people and homes and our beautiful land....

My heart is breaking watching the news about the fires these last couple of days. I wish there was something I could do.
My heart aches at the news of the fires in Victoria. Melbourne was a second home at one point in my life.
OMG, now I want whatever that is up there :P

Sounds like an enjoyable day.We actually had a warm day here in the states compared to all of the ice and bitter bitter cold.Today is nice as well.....Expecting rain,but all of the ice and snow are gone.its about 50 so its balmy if you consider we have had single digits.Oh yes I must say I saw the fires on the news in Austraila how horrible.So sad people lost their lives trying to escape OMG.God Bless them all.
