a melt down...
what a day!
i had a total melt down at work today...Donald Trump said you should never cry in the workplace but he can go take a jump because I cried ....i couldnt hold it back - ive been so frustrated and it was simmering, boiling and today I couldnt take it anymore , I exploded!
my mascara ran everywhere, my contacts were foggy and even now i still have a headache...Ughhh! i dont know why i let work get to me!!
im cramming a full time role in part time hours and it feels like its never enough, never appreciated....
Sigh!!
tommorow is another day....
I still cant download any of my photos so here are some lovely images
from Country Home
i hope to get time to visit you all soon....Hugs
Anastasia

Find another job! I've been there...it's not worth the headache. If you are that unhappy it is working on your health....there is another job out there that will appreciate you!

Oh Anastasia, I have been there and done that - CRY it keeps you sane and releases all sorts of toxins :-) And tomorrow is another day - maybe you made a point, and you always have your art to take you away. We feel for you!
ReplyDeleteWell Donald doesnt know what he is talking about. My mom said it best that you are only 1 person, you cant be expected to work miracles if they keep throwing stuff at you to do. I think you may need to sit down with your boss and let them know that you need help.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is another day and I am hoping it goes better. Hugs Kyla
Ugh, part-time pah! It's a very tough thing working part-time in this situation. I hope next week is better. HUG!- and a nice cup of tea in the nearest green space to the work building:)
ReplyDeleteThe hardest part is part time and doing a full time load! Glad you got it out of your system and I hope someone took notice and realised that they are just asking too much. Hope today is an excellent one for you:)
ReplyDeleteI hope things look a little brighter soon. Don't worry about the tears. Poo to all that. Cry when you wanna, laugh when you wanna. No one can mistake what you're feeling.
ReplyDeleteMust be something in the air. I had a melt down this morning when I got to work and burst into tears too. I didn't get much understanding from the boss either and realise that I will just have to suck it up for now. Thanks goodness for weekends, art and craft, blogging, and all things non-work related.
ReplyDeleteOh, Anastasia, so sorry to hear about your rotten day work day -- hope it's all uphill from here . . .
ReplyDeleteOh Anastasia,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Poor thing..Been there recently and done that, except the mascara. I had to go to waterproof mascara for that very reason. Hope things go better from here on out. Oh, also loved your post re:Beatrix Potter. I recently did a post on that famous lady myself.
Regards,
Theresa @ Cottage Violets
girls, you dont know how much your comments mean...really!
ReplyDeleteim so glad to hear we've all been there done that...crying is looked on as such a bad emotion, losing control or credibility but I think its a great release and at the end of the day im only human...i feel much better today especially since its my day off haha....ive been home with my little Neo who always makes me smile -
it sure makes you stand up & take note of whats important in life...thanks sweeties!
I'm sorry you had to go through that, Anastasia. It's true - part time can be a terrible trap - you almost always end up doing more than you're paid for. And you feel that you should be doing more at home because you're only part time....
ReplyDeleteI hope showing your emotions forced the others at work to wake up and appreciate you!
Hey Tas! I spent 7 years at a school I hated and it nearly drove me crazy. Wish I'd transferred out 3 years into it when I had the opportunity. Don't know what my life would be like now but all I know is after I left my life just improved so much. So my advice to you is: Get out! Get out! Get out! You will be sooo much happier and you might find something better. Helen, Earlwood
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I so know that feeling! It's so bloody hard trying to do a full time job, part time...I'm in that place too...Have a cry I say, boo to work and unrealistic expectations, and boo to trying to live up to them...
ReplyDeleteIt is more then people realize to balance it all. But this trip we are all on called life is way to short to have one minute stollen by people that don't know what you are worth. Stay strong, take a deep breath and know that they are all just jealous of how awesome you are!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Donald Trump doesn't have a lot of cred with me (too much shouting, not enough tears) but he must be okay underneath because he lets that ginger guinea pig sleep on his head. Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday, it was lovely to see you there!
ReplyDeleteOh Pooh to old Donald! You go ahead and cry when you need to.
ReplyDeleteI hope tomorrow is much nicer for you.

ReplyDeleteI feel for you so much! I have exploded into tears at work too! (In a store room with a great shoulder to cry on, thank goodness!) It made me realise how unappreciated I was and how unhappy I was in my job! Maybe its a sign to start looking elsewhere, maybe a fresh start, maybe in an art or craft type job! And maybe your boss should realise how much you care about your work if you are willing to get emotional about it! Some people just clock on and off and don't give a damn! Hoping for a great week ahead for you!
ReplyDeleteAna, I am so sorry to hear you're having a hard time at work and I'm glad to hear you're feeling better now. I agree perhaps it's time you found something new. Something that truly makes you happy. Life's too short to be stuck in a job where you're unappreciated, overworked and under paid.
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
