How are things your way?!
its been one of those weeks for me - flat out busy at work, we are also getting a new fence in our garden and it hasn't stopped raining gah! ...and Im feeling a little exposed out there but hey its great when the boys soccer ball goes into the neighbours garden,  they can just walk over and get it!
We had parent/teacher interviews and our first with a High School(er) so that was um... interesting...it felt like speed dating! haha...

so its Easter this week and Greek Easter the week after ...double celebrations!

What Ive been reading lately...
I just finished 'Wild: a Journey from Lost to found' a memoir by Cheryl Strayed which was made into a movie recently.  Now that I've read it I'm ready and looking forward to seeing the movie.  It was an awesome book, honest and uplifting and a fascinating read.  I wish Cheryl well!!
I'm now starting 'Gone Girl' and only because I need to read the book before I see the movie...its been highly recommended so looking forward to getting into it!

Summer's End

Goodbye Summer!
What a scorching weekend, we had plans for the beach today but after a late night and waking up to another steamy hot morning, the thought of sitting in the sun was not that appealing...instead we ventured out for a late lazy lunch and then hung out at home.
lucky! because this afternoon there was a wild storm that swept through the whole city...crazy winds and a downpour!
Hope everyone stayed safe.

This and that...
this afternoon the hubs and I watched 'Drive' (2011)  - I'm not a huge Ryan Gosling fan but he was very good in this, although the movie was quite violent, dark and gory.
I also loved 'The Place beyond the Pines' which also stars Ryan, so very sad.

I cooked this for dinner today, a real hit!

Monday.

I love Long Weekends (Happy Australia Day!) and even after 4 days off  it was SO hard to get out of bed this morning and head to work!
Its pouring down with rain that doesn’t look like its going to ease up…and all I want to do is crawl into bed with a book.
I’m looking forward to turning in early tonight but then there’s the Tennis to watch ( and ironing to do…)
Its going to be a busy week with my the boys starting a new year at School. My eldest is also heading to High School…lots of changes for him, a bus commute and one nervous mum – I hope the transition goes well…he’s so excited and nervous too.
We are here to support and encourage him all the way!
Encouragement for both boys because Neo heads into Year 5 on Wednesday and that’s a big deal too!
Happy Monday everyone...

Im on the home stretch for Blogtoberfest, its day 23 already.
I did miss a day (...or 2.. okay maybe 3) but life gets super busy, so crazy busy some days that blogging has to take the backseat...

Blogging can take time and thought.   Some days I feel like I have a ton of things to share, other days I feel stuck with no idea what to blog about.
Pinterest on the other hand is a perfect way to spend some free time...
I can get inspired just by scrolling down a little...its always interesting to see what people are pinning, all the visual inspiration and discovering new sites along the way...

Did you all have a wonderful weekend?
We had a busy one but also made sure we got time to relax.   We enjoyed Saturday night at home - love that about Winter - early nights in!
We watched a funny DVD with the kids! ....zone out time!
Today we were invited to lunch to celebrate our gorgeous God-daughter Agathe's 8th Birthday - it ended up a four hour lunch -  good food, wine, conversation and yummy Birthday cake!
