Sleepy Head
I made these fun tags the other night and called them
'Pillow Talk'
because they reminded me of Doris Day...i love, love Doris Day!
had a little laugh as I went through my vintage sewing pattern books - sleep wear in the late 60's was still very prim and proper ....bed jackets and long nighties, satin eye masks, hair curler head caps...it seems like woman took just as long to get to bed as they did getting ready in the morning!

I LOVE the movie Pillow Talk. Doris Day and Rock Hudson are so great together!
ReplyDeleteThose little tags are so cute!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I've never really watched a Doris Day film. I should really.
ReplyDeleteAnd I loved Breakfast at Tiffany's. That sleep mask is lovely!
Also I will definitely join the DUST team on etsy =)
Lovely tags and I think I need to watch that movie again-thanks for reminding me
ReplyDeleteThose tags are hysterical! Can't you just see it on a wedding gift or something. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI love Calamity Jane! We would watch it over and over again as kids! It was my Dad's favorite movie! I wanted a cabin in the woods just Calam and Adelaide to "Do UP" and decorate!
ReplyDeleteAnastasia,
ReplyDeleteLoved your comments about Doris Day. I, too, am a big fan and have been since I was 10. I had the opportunity to become her personal secretary in the 70s while she was filming her TV show and also lived with her for nearly 2 years. Last year I wrote my memoir - "DAY AT A TIME - An Indiana Girl's Sentimental Journey to Doris Day's Hollywood and Beyond"
You can visit my book website:

Doris will have a birthday on April 3rd - do you know about Magic 63 the radio station that airs ALL DAY DORIS DAY on that day?
I can give you details - you will be able to hear her live when she calls in to the radio station.
Thanks - your ID tags are so cute!

Doris always played such spunky characters...and the clothes from that era have an air on innocence..

ReplyDeleteI'm crazy about Doris Day. I never pass up an opportunity to watch one of her movies. She lives right down the street from where my husband's aunt used to live in Carmel Valley, CA.
