Illustration Friday - Under the Sea

My inspiration this week came from the victorian story the Water Babies.

I love the Water Babies illustrations
Jessie Wilcox Smith painted - they are just wonderful!

This is my water baby having fun with the cute creatures of the sea.

This is such a fun drawing! It takes me back to when I was little and either my Mom or Dad would read to me. A lot of children's books are illustrated in this simple care-free style.
    Thanks for sharing!

  4. The little fish she's holding doesn't look too impressed and the clam shell has closed down. I think this little cherub should pay close attention to Mrs Do As You Would Be done By :) Well done.

  11. I never read it, but your picture is so cute. I love the way she's holding the kelp- it looks like knives or scissors. So triumphant!
